Will is the founder and owner of Up To Scratch. Day to day it is down to him to keep the madness under control! As the business has grown his job role has changed, primarily now sitting at a desk dealing with the day to day running of the business. But it is always a welcome relief to get back into the workshop and actually be hands on doing what he enjoys, repairing cars!Â
Ash is the longest serving member of the team, with us for 15 years so far. A multiskilled team member, Ash can take care of any aspect of what we do, He’s also responsible for planning the workflow and overseeing the day to day running of the workshop. As with all of us here, Ash is a car guy and the latest addition is a BMW M140i to play with.
With 15 years plus experience in the trade Dean is a multi skilled tech capable of exceptional repairs through to top quality paint application and finishing. Outside of Up To Scratch you’ll find Dean somewhere on Castle Combe race track in his beloved bright green Mk4 Fiesta track toy.
Ray is the newest member of the team, initially came to us recently on work experience as a panel / repair technician from college where he recently left as student of the year, and for very good reason. Fast becoming a valuable team member he has a bright future in the industry.

I pulled into a lay-by as my dog was becoming distressed in the car. I didn't notice the small accumulation of rubble next to the grassy knoll and had a coming together with the rubble and ended up with a dent in the front spoiler of my car. After a recommendation from friends, I looked up Up To Scratch. I filled in the form and added photos on the website and had an estimate the following morning. I then booked the car in. Very straightforward process. The actual repair is amazing. There is no evidence that the car was ever damaged; if I didn't know better, I'd say the front end had been replaced. Probably not the cheapest body shop but the quality of the repair is unquestionable. Professional and courteous service, too. I recommend Up to Scratch without hesitation.

If you need work done to your vehicle, these guys are phenomenal! I'm not being paid or under any kind of endorsement deal, I am just that blown away by the incredible work done. After being hit by someone who, it's fair to say doesn't excel with parallel parking, I was left with paint stripped off and deep scratch marks on the rear of my car. I discovered Up To Scratch online and their work looked great. So, after talking with them, sending photos of the damage, I finally got around to booking my car in. I am SO pleased I did. Honestly I'm so blown away at how remarkable it is, you can't even tell where the damage was (and I looked!) My car looks new and I am genuinely super happy with the service. The communication, customer service and workmanship is top tier. I cannot recommend them enough, if I ever need work done again, I'm definitely hitting these guys up, for sure! Also they gave it wash, and it's now super shiny which also makes me very happy 😄
